WHY I LOVE THIS RECIPE: They’re delicious and a family tradition started by my mother. I even used to send these 7-layer bars to my kids when they were in college–such a treat! To this day, it’s a recipe everyone still makes and enjoys.
Gramma Molly's Seven Layer Bars
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup crushed graham crackers
- 3/4 cup flaked coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup butterscotch chips
- 3/4 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
- 1/2 cup small pieces of walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Melt butter in an 8 inch by 8 inch pan.
- Top with graham crackers, then coconut, then both chips.
- Pour condensed milk over entire pan then add nuts.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool and cut into squares.
Notes
You can this adjust recipe to your liking of sweetness and option of nuts.
These freeze well.
