Dill Pickles

Brine: approx 10 jars
- 1 cup kosher salt
- 5 qts water
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
For each 1 qt. jar
- 1 hot banana pepper
- 1/2 tsp pickling spice
- 2 small cloves garlic
- 8-10 small pickling cucumbers (approx)
- 1 sprig dill
Mix brine ingredients.
Put pepper, pickling spice and garlic in sterilized 1 quart jar. Pack jar with pickles and top with dill sprig.
Pour in brine up to about 1/2" from top, clover tightly and put on shelf.
