Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease an 8 inch square cake pan.
Run hot water over matzah boards and shake off excess. Line the greased cake pan with matzah boards. Break pieces to fit.
Saute onion and carrots in a little olive oil until tender. Move to bowl.
Brown ground meat until cooked. Add remaining spices.
Add the onions and carrots to the meat. Press into the pan with matzah board. Brush with egg mixture just until coated.
Bake until browned, about 30 minutes. Check at 20 to see how it is browning.
